The first phase of our implementation strategy focuses on partnering with local Mobile Money Operators (MMOs). This collaboration is pivotal in introducing the gold- backed digital currency system into the everyday financial transactions of the market participants. We propose the following integration plan:

Dual-Currency Savings Account

We propose introducing a dual- currency system within MMO platforms, where users can effortlessly convert between local fiat currency and the digital gold currency. This feature will provide a tangible alternative for savings, safeguarded against inflation.

Ease of Conversion and Use

Users can convert their holdings and use either currency for payments. This system will be accessible through all channels, including USSD, ensuring no user is left behind.

Gradual User Adoption

By leveraging the existing user base of MMOs, we aim for a gradual and transparent introduction of the new currency. Educational campaigns and user support will be crucial in this phase.

The goal of Stage 1 is to foster user trust and familiarity with digital gold currency, laying the groundwork for its broader acceptance and use.

Benefits for MMOs

Mobile money operators stand to gain by integrating with our system, enhancing their service offerings through currency exchange capabilities and leveraging transaction fee markups. However, should local operators opt out of the pilot, we're prepared to introduce experienced mobile payment providers from other regions, eager to facilitate and enrich the local financial ecosystem. This ensures a seamless integration process and the availability of advanced services for the economy, regardless of local operator participation.
